What is a Stock Picker?
Adaptalift Group supply two main types of stock pickers.
Elevating work platform (EWP) stock pickers are classified as personnel lift and are designed to safely lift an individual operator to heights for the purposes of stock put away or retrieval.
Materials handling equipment (MHE) stock pickers are specially designed and engineered to allow the safe and convenient picking or put away of goods at low, medium or high levels of racking and shelves in locations such as warehouses.
Standard and Aerial Stock Pickers
Standard stock pickers such as the Dingli OPT or aerial stock pickers such as the Dingli TT037 are a safer alternative to traditional high rise ladders.
Pickers offer increased safety as their hydraulic mechanical lift safely raises and lowers operators to the correct level for stock retrieval or put away instead of operators having to climb up unsteady ladders.
Both battery powered stock pickers are self-propelled and driven by the operator from the control panel and joystick in the operator cage offering precision control to position the unit in the safest position for picking.
Pickers have wide platforms large enough to accommodate a picker and stock that has been picked or is to be put away.
Additional safety features not available on traditional ladders include harness anchor points for operators to anchor themselves to when working high up and in-built dead man switches that immediately stop the unit moving and prevent it from rolling away out of control whilst being operated.
Units comes standard with high quality high capacity batteries offering long run times making them suitable for single use or across multiple shift operations.
When necessary batteries can simply be charged by plugging the battery into a standard wall socket.
Material Handling Stock Pickers
For applications that need to lift heavy loads above the 300kg of a standard or aerial stock picker our range of low, medium and high level order pickers from leading manufacturer Hyster are the most efficient and safe solution.
Units have been specifically designed to optimise the speed and ease of stock picking from multiple locations across large scale warehouses.
Pickers are powered by high capacity batteries providing extended run times making them suitable for one off and daily use as well as across multi-shift applications.
Available in three different models we’re able to supply the most appropriate stock picker solution for our customers with low level order pickers providing safe lift height up to 1m all the way up to safe lift heights of up to 9m with our high level stock picker.
All pickers have platforms large enough to accommodate a picker and stock that has been picked or is to be put away.
Standard safety features not seen on traditional ladders include harness anchor points for operators to anchor themselves to when working high up and in-built dead man switches that immediately stop the unit moving and prevent it from rolling away out of control whilst being operated.
Units are rechargeable via plugging into a correctly specified wall socket.
